Our story
Smeeton’s began in Sleaford in the early 1800s and became a well-known local removals firm. In 1962, Mr Panton joined as a porter, learning the trade from the ground up. By 1982, he and his wife took over and the business became Smeeton Panton Removals, a family-run company focused on care and quality. In the 1990s, the firm outgrew its site, built two purpose-built warehouses in Heckington, and moved the office to the depot.
In 1998, we joined Britannia Movers International, opening up better rates for part and back loads and stronger European and overseas options. Today, the depot, fleet, and land have grown, our estimators each bring 30+ years of experience, and our trained crews move and store your goods with the same attention to detail the company was built on.
